Meet rock salt
Rock Salt was brought to ACCT Philly on January 23, 2026 after being found as a stray. He was retrieved by officers after a caller reported a loose dog. At intake, Rock Salt was friendly and approachable!
Since arriving at the shelter, Rock Salt has shown himself to be a high-energy, social, and affectionate young dog who enjoys interacting with people. Volunteers describe him as sweet, eager for attention, and very people-oriented. He walks easily on leash with only mild pulling when excited, appears to be housetrained, and is highly motivated by treats. Rock Salt loves belly rubs, enjoys playtime, and displays loose, wiggly body language when meeting both humans and canine friends. While he can be jumpy and mouthy in a puppy-like way, he is responsive to handling, takes treats nicely, and has demonstrated basic skills like sitting. Overall, Rock Salt is a fun, happy, and social dog who would thrive with continued structure, enrichment, and opportunities to burn off his youthful energy.
