Meet bambi
Meet Bambi (ACCT-A-239578)! This sweet, brown mixed breed girl is ready to find her forever home.
Bambi can be a little nervous at first, but she warms up quickly and is eager to please. She walks well on a leash and is very affectionate, often snuggling up for pets. She's a gentle soul who enjoys soft words and kind hands.
She loves to give gentle little whines when she wants to say hi. She takes treats gently and, overall, Bambi is a super sweet lady!
Bambi came to us as a stray, and like all shelter animals, she'll need a little time to adjust to a new environment. She's been seen by our medical team, and it's recommended that she have a follow-up vet visit after adoption, to address some concerns about her eyes. Our adoption staff can provide you with more details.

Behavioral Notes:
Per day trip 12/27:
Today we took Bambi out for the day she was sweet right off the bat. She came up and greeted us without hesitation. We took her on a walk, she was great on leash. We saw a couple dogs on our walk and she didn’t react at all just curious. She is very affectionate and loves to cuddle on you and fall asleep. Wasn’t too interested in toys but played fetch a little. She was great in the car fell asleep right in my lap. Overall a great day, loved her!
Per volunteer Behavior Eval 12/23/2025:
Kennel Presentation: When I approached her kennel, She greeted me with a loose and wiggly body, soft eyes and tail wags.
Leash Skills: Allowed me to easily leash her and then she jumped out of the kennel and walks very well on leash.
Sociability: In the play yard she was very attached to me and snuggled right into me when I sat on a bench. Took pets all over and tried to sniff treats out of my fanny pack. Takes treats pretty gently overall and sometimes gets your finger because she doesn’t seem to know where to take them, but it is very gentle. Super sweet lady! When she sees someone she wants to say hi to outside (dog or human), she gives gentle little whines. Very affectionate girl.
Play: Didn’t show interest in toys today.
Dog Interaction: Nothing today
Return to Kennel: No issues
Color Level: For color level I gave her gold – she could be bumped down to Green if she continues to be easy with handling.
