Her real name is Minnie, I think, changed due to another dog with the same name at the shelter. Nervous in her first days at the shelter, she's also shown herself to be social and affection seeking, even in a place with little time to spare for affection. Ginnie eases her worries when she's with us by carrying an emotional support stuffie, actually 2 that she neatly holds onto while she hangs out with us. She is 50lbs and climbs into my lap and lays down, reminding us that lap-sized is in the eye of the sitter, and she fits just fine. On a cold day it's nice to snuggle with a pajama clad pup, toss some toys, and watch her light up and get comfortable.Ginnie previously lived with 2 kids aged 5 and 7 who she did well with. For now as she adjusts she is recommended for a home with adults or older kids. She hasn't had any interactions with dogs at the shelter, but her previous family said she was tolerant and playful with them. Her preferred mode of transport is cars or walks, and she is fearful of skateboards and bikes. This sweet girl is ready for a home, and after over a month in the shelter she deserves one.
