Meet Ace, a 5-year-old terrier mix with a sweet, cautious nature. Ace came to us from an unfit living situation and is still learning to trust. He’s initially hesitant when meeting new people, but settles in once he feels safe. Ace allows handling, including pets on his head, chest, and rear, but can get overstimulated and jumpy at times, so a calm, patient approach is best. Ace isn’t yet interested in toys but engages in short bursts of tug-of-war in the yard. Ace would thrive in a home with teens & up where he can continue to build trust and confidence at his own pace.
