Meet atreyu
Meet Atreyu, a brave and beautiful 2.5-year-old terrier mix with a heart as big as his spirit. When Atreyu first came to us as a stray, he was limping on his front leg, but even through the pain, his gentle soul shone through. Our medical team has been giving him the care he needs, and he’s still on his healing journey. Atreyu can be a little cautious when meeting new people, but once he feels safe, his whole face softens and his tail starts to wag. He absolutely loves toys, especially a good game of tug and is quick to show off his smarts with “sit,” “down,” “stay,” and “come.” Though he’s sensitive to touch right now (likely due to his injury), he’s learning that gentle hands mean comfort and kindness. Atreyu would do best in an adult only home where he can continue to build trust at his own pace and soak up all the love he’s missed.
