Meet izzy
Meet Izzy, a sweet senior Shiba mix looking for a calm home of her own
Izzy is about 9 years old, and she's been our girl since long before we had kids. We rescued her as a young dog, and for years she was our baby. She loves to just hang in the house or go outside to explore parks and see the neighborhood dogs.
Our life has changed since then. We now have two very young children, and Izzy has made it clear that toddlers aren't her thing. She has growled a few times when the kids got in her space. She has never bitten, but she deserves a home where she can relax instead of keeping an eye on little hands. Rehoming her is one of the hardest decisions we've made, and we're doing it because we want her golden years to be peaceful.
Izzy would be happiest with an adult or a quiet household with no young children, someone who appreciates a Shiba's independent personality. She gets along with other dogs (especially if off-leash) and has done well at sitters with lots of dogs.
