Meet goose
Goose is a lovely dog for a family with no kids or older kids. We have two children under two and he is too anxious to be around them, since they’re too young to be taught how to behave with dogs. We have had Goose for almost 6 years with no issues until having kids and realizing he isn’t able to be trusted around them while they are young and unpredictable.
He’s fully house trained and crate trained (i.e. he stays in the crate when we leave the house). He sleeps under our bed at night but would likely sleep overnight in the crate if preferred with a bit of training. He goes on weekly pack walks and does great with the other dogs and the dog walker.
Three years ago, Goose had a biting incident in a boarding setting where the staff forcibly grabbed him from behind and he bit in fear as a reaction. He’s since worked with a trainer.
