Meet kai
Kai is a 7-year-old dog we adopted from Ashland, and we love him dearly. Deciding to rehome him has been one of the hardest choices our family has made- he has a very loving personality and is a big softie. Kai is great with kids, cats and dogs and loves to play. But he has some some anxiety, and big emotions or chaos (such as with our young children) cause it to flare. All he really wants in life is time outside and someone to snuggle with. He’s house-trained apart from his very intermittent diarrhea episodes (we think anxiety-linked), isn’t crate-trained, and does fine on his own for a full workday hours (though he gets mopey being left alone for that long). Aside from a calmer household, a fenced-in yard he can easily be let out into would be ideal (neither of which we can currently provide). We’re hoping to find him a patient home where he can settle in and feel safe. Happy to pass along food, halter/leash, and other "gear" upon adoption.
