Meet Melo!

Melo is a 2-year-old, 42-pound bundle of happiness with a goofy personality and a whole lot of love to give!

This adorable, plump little guy is as happy-go-lucky as they come! Melo is friendly with people and other dogs, and his silly antics are sure to keep his future family smiling.
He is such a fun, outgoing and gets the cutest zoomies when he gets excited!
Just simply a joy to have around!

Melo loves the ladies and enjoys running around and playing with his foster siblings!

Melo does have one little quirk: sharing isn’t exactly his strong suit! He tends to resource guard food, bones, and toys around other dogs and people. Because of this, he’ll need a family who understands the importance of feeding dogs separately and managing high-value items appropriately.
We have been working on these behaviors but it is something that will take time and consistency, but he is doing better and has expanded his boundaries.

Due to this, we feel that only older children/teens in the home would be ideal, that understand and respect his boundaries.

Aside from his reluctance to share his prized possessions, Melo is a wonderful, friendly, fun-loving boy who just wants a family of his own!

He has some very minor allergies and will get a little itchy from time to time but healthy food and keeping him clean have worked wonders.

Melo doesn’t need to be perfect (although we still think he is!) to be the perfect addition to someone’s family. He just needs someone who will love and appreciate him for the goofy, happy little chunk that he is!
