Meet Zukie - The Cutie — A tiny girl with a big heart and a beautiful future ahead. Imagine spending your life in a place where love is scarce, comfort is almost nonexistent, and the world beyond those walls is something you can only dream of. That was Zukie's reality.

At just three years old, this precious little girl was found living in a hoarding house, surrounded by heartbreaking conditions no dog should ever have to endure. Instead of a safe, clean place to sleep, a loving hand to reach for, or a family to call her own, Zukie was trapped in a world where the most basic needs and comforts of life were missing. No dog deserves to live that way. Every dog deserves kindness, security, and the chance to know what it feels like to truly belong.

But here's the beautiful thing about Zukie: despite the start life gave her, her sweet spirit is still shining!

This adorable 17-pound girl is playful, loving, and just the cutest little bundle of fun! She's wonderful with other dogs and great with kids. She's even house-trained! We suspect she's a Flat-Coated Retriever/Border Collie mix, but whatever her mix, we know one thing for sure: she's 100% deserving of a life filled with love.

Now, Zukie's story is ready for a new chapter. She is still in Puerto Rico, but her flight to a brighter future is coming soon. And somewhere out there, her person is waiting to meet her. Someone who will give her a soft bed, a full belly, gentle hugs, happy walks, and the comfort of knowing she will never have to live that way again.

Zukie has already survived the hard part. Now she deserves the happy ending.
