At around 4 years old, Jolene has mastered the art of enjoying life’s simple pleasures: cozy couch cuddles, tasty bones, and being close to her favorite people. This sweet, compact girl is the perfect blend of love, companionship, and laid-back charm. If you’re looking for a loyal little shadow who will happily keep your spot on the couch warm, Jolene might just be your girl!

Jolene’s story didn’t start out easy. She came to the rescue as an owner surrender alongside two other dogs, severely underweight and in need of extra care and TLC. But with time and love, she’s come such a long way! Despite her difficult start, Jolene’s gentle, loving spirit has continued to shine. She absolutely adores people and has been wonderful with everyone she’s met. She’s ready to leave her hard days behind and start her next chapter with a family who will show her just how wonderful life can be.

Jolene is a low-energy gal who appreciates the finer things in life, like relaxing at home, snuggling up with her humans, and enjoying a good chew bone. She’s also a great car companion, so she’d be happy to tag along for a ride. She knows “sit,” comes when called, and is working on her “off” command. She isn’t the biggest fan of her crate, but she manages just fine.

When it comes to other animals, Jolene does well with other dogs when given slow, proper introductions. She’s also had an introduction to a cat and showed respectful behavior, choosing to move away when the cat hissed. She hasn’t met any children yet, but her wonderful nature with the people she has encountered is certainly encouraging.

Jolene has already overcome so much, and now it’s her turn to find a family who will love her through every chapter ahead. If your ideal day involves a comfy couch, a sweet pup by your side, and lots of snuggles, Jolene is ready to make herself right at home.
