Meet Lance!Lance is a sweet, loving boy looking for a patient person to help him feel safe and confident! He may take a little time to warm up, especially around men, but once he bonds with you, get ready for a whole lot of love. Lance is a true Velcro dog who wants to stick close to his favorite person and be your loyal little shadow. Lance absolutely loves other dogs, and having a confident canine companion in his forever home would be wonderful for helping him come out of his shell. He has also lived with cats and likes them! He's met older children and has done well with them, too.Lance is still working on his house training, so he'll need an adopter who understands that progress takes time, patience, and consistency. He may be a little shy at first, but underneath that cautious exterior is a very sweet boy with so much love to give.Lance can become deeply attached to his favorite humans and struggles with being left alone, so his future family should be prepared to help him work through his separation anxiety with patience, consistency, and training. A home where someone is able to spend plenty of time with him would be ideal. The good news is that Lance gets along wonderfully with other dogs and has also lived with cats!Lance is looking for a loving home where he can feel safe, build confidence, and learn that he doesn't have to worry so much.
