Meet vintorez
Vintorez is a 3–4-year-old Xoloitzcuintli weighing approximately 50 pounds. He is neutered, current on vaccinations, and microchipped.
Vintorez is our cuddle bug. ❤️ He loves affection and being close to his people, but underneath that cuddly exterior is still very much a Xolo with opinions and boundaries of his own.
Vintorez is not appropriate for a home with young children. He can be nippy when uncomfortable or when his boundaries aren’t respected, so he needs an experienced adult who understands canine body language and knows when a dog is asking for space. With people who understand him, he is an affectionate and entertaining companion.
He has been fostered with Achilles and Nuno, so he does have experience living with other dogs. As with any adoption, compatibility with resident dogs would need to be evaluated carefully.
Previous primitive breed experience is required. We are looking for someone who genuinely understands primitive dogs, not simply someone attracted to the Xolo’s unusual appearance. They’re fascinating dogs, but they come with their own operating system, and Vintorez deserves someone who already speaks the language.
Vintorez is currently eating Inukshuk Marine 26/16 as part of the boys’ chicken-free diet. He is also heartworm positive, and his treatment is currently being addressed. HHHT will discuss his current treatment and medical needs with potential adopters.
If you’re experienced with primitive breeds, appreciate a dog with personality and boundaries, and wouldn’t mind having a warm little naked shadow attached to you, Vintorez might be exactly who you’ve been looking for. 🖤
