Meet maple
**Meet Maple! 🍁🐾**
Small in stature, big on sweetness, and sporting the most irresistible little face, Maple is ready to find a family to call her own!
Maple is a young, Dachshund-type mix who came to SDBP CT Rescue after being found as a stray and going unclaimed at Animal Control. She became our very first official Animal Control pull, and this little girl has already stolen quite a few hearts!
Maple is an incredibly sweet and gentle girl, but she can be shy and timid when meeting new people or encountering unfamiliar situations. Once she begins to feel comfortable and realizes she's safe, her affectionate personality starts to shine through. She's the kind of dog who needs someone willing to earn her trust rather than rush her into situations she isn't quite ready for.
**🍁 What we've learned about Maple so far:**
Maple seems to enjoy the company of calmer dogs who respect her personal space. She can become uncomfortable when overly energetic or pushy dogs approach her too quickly, so any potential canine siblings would need to be thoughtfully matched and introduced at her pace.
She's currently settling into her foster home, where we're continuing to learn more about her personality, preferences, and what makes her feel comfortable.
**🏡 Maple's ideal forever home**
We're looking for a patient, loving family who understands that building trust takes time. A relatively calm, predictable environment where Maple can settle in, establish a routine, and gain confidence would be wonderful for her.
She may do well with another calm, respectful dog, but she could also enjoy being someone's one-and-only little companion. Her compatibility with cats and young children has not yet been established.
Most importantly, Maple needs someone who will appreciate her for exactly who she is and give her the time and reassurance she needs to blossom.

Maple is currently completing her veterinary care and will be spayed before adoption. We are accepting applications now and carefully reviewing potential homes to find the best possible match.
