He was surrendered to the shelter after his owner was being deported. Simba had been living on a heavy chain behind the hotel where his owner was staying before he was brought to the shelter. Despite everything he has been through, Simba is a fun little guy with so much love to give. He is a bit unsure in the shelter environment, but he is learning and gaining confidence. What Simba knows for sure is that he absolutely adores people! He loves being petted, getting attention, and soaking up all the love he can get. Simba had not been around other dogs before coming to the shelter, but he has been doing great and is beginning to learn how to play and interact with them. He does well in play group with the other dogs, but Simba does not do well with cats so will need a cat free home! He will likely benefit from a patient home that can continue helping him build confidence and learn all the things he may have missed out on earlier in life. From his foster: He is a super sweet dog and is always wagging his tail and loves affection. He is great around kids and loves to be outside. He would be perfect for someone who is active. We think he is pretty close to perfect and whoever gets him will be lucky!Simba is ready for a fresh start where he can leave his past behind and finally experience what it means to be a loved and spoiled family dog.
