Meet Momma Ashley ❤

Momma Ashley is one of the 80+ dogs rescued from the horrific KCK hoarding house. Before coming into rescue, Ashley had never been allowed outside. She lived in a home where the dogs were forced to eat, sleep, raise their babies, and go potty inside. Now, she’s getting to experience what being a loved dog is supposed to feel like.

She is determined to be the best girl ever.

Ashley is crate trained and potty trained, and when we say potty trained, we mean she absolutely refuses to potty in the house. When she needs to go, she’ll bark to let you know it’s time to head outside. Good girl, Ashley! 🙌 Especially considering where she came from.

She loves the other dogs in her foster home and is a BIG snuggler 😇 😴. She loves treats and takes them incredibly gently.

One of our favorite things about Ashley is watching her discover things most dogs have known their entire lives 🌿. Give her a bone or chew and she gets SO excited that she has to play with it for a while before settling down to chew it. 🥹 These things are all new to her, and she is soaking up every single bit of the good life.

Ashley does pretty well on a leash already. With just a little more practice, she’s going to be fantastic 🏡.
She tends to warm up to women faster than men. With someone new, especially a man, she may bark at first, but give her a chance to come over, get a good sniff 👃, and realize you’re safe, and she settles right in.

After everything Ashley lived through, she could have been terrified of the world. Instead, she is learning that outside means freedom, hands mean love, treats are plentiful, toys belong to her, and a home can actually feel safe.

Now she just needs the family who gets to show her all the other wonderful things she’s been missing 💖.
Ashley is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and current on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee is $175. Approved adopters will be contacted to schedule a meet-and-greet.
