Meet magdalena
Hi! My name is Magdalena, but my foster family calls me Maggie. I’m an 11-month-old Miniature Australian Shepherd who was rescued from a farm outside Knoxville, Tennessee. I’ve had a tough start to life, including abuse, an ear injury from another dog, and an injury to my left shoulder. Thankfully, my foster mom rescued me on August 4, 2026, and brought me to CO to start a new chapter.
I’m fully vaccinated and on flea and tick prevention. I’m currently receiving care at CSU for end-stage osteoarthritis in my left shoulder. My veterinary team is determining whether surgery can save my leg or if amputation may be necessary to help me live a happy, active life.
I’m a loving, energetic, and vocal puppy who loves playing outside, fetch, treats, and other dogs once I get to know them. I’m looking for a family who understands my breed, will be patient with my medical journey, and will give me the love and care I deserve. Whether I have 4 legs or 3, I’m ready to be someone’s best friend.
