He’s a 10-year-old, 30 lb. companion dog who will sleep curled up next to you every single night, follow you to every room, and light up the moment you grab a tennis ball. He loves chasing squirrels, lounging in the sun, and being genuinely present with the humans he loves. He’s healthy, active, and has a full life ahead of him.Banks is best suited for an adult-only home or a home with older kids — he’s a one-on-one kind of dog who thrives with calm, consistent companionship. He does best as an only pet; he can get nervous around other dogs (fear-based, not aggressive — confirmed by multiple trainers).We’re rehoming Banks with full transparency: he has nipped twice in our home, which we believe is related to the recent arrival of a new baby and the stress of a busy household with young children. This behavior is out of character — he spent 10 years sleeping with our kids and playing with them daily. He deserves a quieter environment where he can be the center of someone’s world.
