Meet Lina – The Tiny Energizer Bunny Who Is Always Happy

Lina may be tiny, but somebody forgot to tell her.

This little girl is happy, playful, energetic, adventurous, and absolutely devoted to her people. Once she's comfortable in her environment, Lina turns into what her foster affectionately calls the Energizer Bunny.

She loves to run, play, explore, and make everyone around her laugh. Then, when she's ready to slow down, she's more than happy to soak up attention and cuddles from the people she loves.

Her foster describes her simply:

Lina absolutely loves the people she trusts.

She can be shy initially and needs slow introductions, but once she's had time to decompress and realize she's safe, that hesitation gives way to an affectionate, silly little dog who wants to be involved in everything.

And Lina takes staying close to her people pretty seriously.

She can climb fences if her people are on the other side.

Her future family will need to understand that a standard fenced yard should not be considered secure containment for Lina. Outdoor time will need appropriate supervision and management to keep this tiny climber safely where she belongs.

This girl has high energy and loves being active.

Once she's settled into a home, she's ready to run, play, explore, chase toys, wrestle with a canine friend, and head back outside for another round.

Lina would be a great match for an active family that wants a smaller dog who can actually keep up with them.

She'd also likely love having another playful dog in the home to help burn off some of that Energizer Bunny energy.

Give Her Time to Settle In

Lina can be nervous in new environments and shouldn't be expected to show her full personality immediately.

She benefits from decompression time, patience, and slow introductions.

Once she knows her home and her people, the transformation is pretty special.

That's when the shy little dog becomes the happy, goofy character her foster knows—the one who's always ready to play and seems to approach life with enthusiasm.

Crate & Separation Anxiety

Lina initially had a difficult time being kenneled, but she has already made progress.

She is crate trained, although she may still whine or bark at times before settling. Her foster reports that her kennel anxiety has improved with consistency and structure.

Because Lina bonds strongly with her people, she does show some crate/separation anxiety. Her adopter should be prepared to continue helping her build independence and comfort when she's away from her people rather than allowing her world to revolve entirely around constant access to them.

Her potty-training routine has also been introduced, and she's doing well with a consistent schedule.

Lina came into rescue after being found as a stray.

We may not know much about what happened before that, but Lina has made one thing very clear about the life she's living now:

She's goofy, adventurous, affectionate, energetic, and completely devoted to the people she learns to trust. She needs patience while she's adjusting, continued work on her independence, plenty of opportunities to burn off her energy, and a family smart enough not to underestimate her climbing abilities.
