Meet Suzie!

Suzie is a sweet, social girl who absolutely loves other dogs! She’s about 2 years old and 30 pounds, and she would be especially happy in a home with another friendly dog to play with and keep her company. She’s currently in a foster home with other dogs and cats and is doing wonderfully.
Suzie came to us from one of the largest rescue situations we’ve ever taken on. An older veteran had started rescuing just a few dogs, but over time the number grew to nearly 60 dogs. Our rescue stepped in to help, and we’ve been working ever since to get each of them vetted and into safe, loving homes. The number of dogs remaining on the property is now down to about 13, and Suzie was one of the lucky ones who made it into foster care.
Many of the dogs from this property have an English Lab–type look, and Suzie is a beautiful example. But what really makes her special is her friendly nature and how much she enjoys the companionship of other dogs.
After everything Suzie has been through, she’s ready for a family of her own. If you have another dog looking for a new best friend, Suzie just might be the perfect addition to your family!

Paws of Dixie Animal Rescue adopts local and in the New England area. Our adoption fee includes the spay/neuter, up to date shots, Microchip, Alabama Health Certificate, and the transport service to get the new family pet to you.

Please be advised that our volunteers are busy rescuing, transporting, and caring for our animals. We will respond to your application as soon as possible. Upon review of your application, the rescue in AL will contact you, so you can ask any specific questions that you may have.
NOTE: All Paws of Dixie animals are located in AL foster homes.
If there is more than one decision maker in the home, all of them should be in agreement.
