Meet sophie
Sophie is a 10-year-old Bichon Frise/Maltese mix who has been a beloved member of our family since she was just two months old. My wife and I are heartbrokenly considering rehoming her due to our advancing age—I am turning 80 and facing health challenges—and an upcoming relocation to either Korea or California.
Sophie is incredibly healthy and has a wonderful life expectancy; her veterinarians in Cheltenham, PA, believe she could easily live to be 18. Her only medical quirk is mild seasonal allergies from mid-August to mid-September, which clear up instantly with a daily Apoquel (5.4 mg).
She is a joyful, low-maintenance companion. She eats twice a day, loves her treats, and still enthusiastically walks a mile or more every day. While she might bark at a stranger initially, she settles down within a minute. Her absolute favorite thing is snuggling up to sleep in bed with her humans. We want nothing more than to find her a loving home for her golden years.
