š¾ Welcome to AWCR, Hayley! š¾
Letās give a warm welcome to our newest rescue girl, Hayley!
Poor Hayley was picked up as a stray south of Atlanta, and sadly, no one came forward to claim her. As soon as we heard her story, AWCR stepped in to make sure she gets the love and care she needs.
Here is what we know about this lovely girl so far:
Hayley is a petite girl at a perfect 56 lbs. sheās good with other dogs. She is sporting a beautiful, natural tail, is housebroken and crate trained. Unfortunately, Haley came with skin issues and anemia frequently connected to heavy ectoparasite infestations such as a severe flea burden or tick-borne diseases. When an animal is overwhelmed by blood-sucking parasites, they can develop Flea Allergic Dermatitis (FAD) alongside a dangerous drop in red blood cells (flea anemia). It is heartbreaking to see Hayley dealing with orthopedic pain on top of systemic issues, but we are getting her the comprehensive care she needs. Hayley will be spayed next week.
Hayley is currently settling into her foster home. We will be updating her bio with details about her personality, energy level, and dog/cat compatibility as we get to know her better over the coming days.
