Meet evie
Evie is a sweet, loving, playful 14 month old heeler mix with a lot of energy. She enjoys cuddling on the couch, going to dog parks, nature walks and herding. She is so smart and picks up on things quickly. She needs an experienced owner/parent who can fulfill her exercise needs and have patience while she learns not to nip while playing. This has already improved greatly in just the short time we’ve had her.
Evie was found as a stray in August 2025, adopted in September then returned to the shelter this August. Two weeks later, we thought she’d be a great fit for my older relative who wanted a dog to keep her attention. However, they are unable to give Evie the exercise and attention she needs to thrive.
It is so hard for me to post this as I’ve already fallen in love with her myself but unfortunately know I cannot take her. She would do best in a home without small dogs or young children but loves playing with bigger dogs and calm, older kids.
