Hi, I'm Barney. Are you busy?

Because I'd really like to play with you, or sit close to you, or follow you, or climb something to get to you. Or maybe all four at once!

My motto is basically “I love you, you love me,” except I'm so committed to the first part that I might not give you enough personal space to finish the song. 💜🦖

I'm a 28-pound mixed breed and 2 years old. My foster says I'm “crazy and a lot of fun.” 😜 I love running around the yard and playing with my foster dog siblings. We took things slow when we first met, but now we're great buddies. And when playtime is over, I'm happiest snuggled up next to you.

I'm friends with cats, too! 🐈 Well, I think we're friends. I keep trying to get them to play with me, but they don't always seem as excited about the idea as I am. I haven't spent much time around kids yet, but I was very gentle taking treats from a toddler through my kennel – even when I was brand new to rescue.

I've got some catching up to do with regular dog stuff. Toys and leash walking are new to me. I know “kennel,” and I'm working on “down” and “sit.” Oh, and I might be part goat. 🐐 I like to climb and jump my way to what I want – sometimes that's food, but a lot of times, it's just you. ❤️

I'm doing pretty well with house training as long as I get outside regularly. I'm crate trained and sleep there at night, though I may have a few things to say before I settle in. And when you come back, I will be ANNOUNCING HOW HAPPY I AM TO SEE YOU. 📣😂

Car rides are fun because I get to go with you! 🚗 I'm still learning to sit calmly instead of trying to get as close to you as possible.

The world is pretty new to me, so I need someone patient and loving who will keep teaching me and show me I'm safe. I might be a lot sometimes, but I promise to bring a lot, too: lots of laughs, lots of fun and a LOT of love.

My adoption fee is $225, and I’ll come neutered, microchipped and up-to-date on vaccines and flea/tick/heartworm preventatives. Meet-and-greets will be scheduled with approved adopters.
