Meet Copper, a stunning 3-year-old black tricolor Miniature American Shepherd that is a tad bit overweight to say the least, but is ready to be your devoted companion! 🐕 At 58 pounds, I'm a medium-sized girl with a happy personality and a friendly spirit that'll win you over in no time. I'm spayed and looking for a home with a fenced yard where I can settle in as your ultimate couch potato and velcro sidekick — I'll follow you from room to room because, honestly, where you go, I go. My adoption fee is $400, and I'm ready to bring joy and loyalty to my forever family. Come meet me and let's start our adventure together! ❤️
While this happy go lucky girl is here at the rescue she is quickly whipping up into shape playing with the other aussies in the gang. This girl seemingly flows well with everyone and wiggles to greet everyone as well. While she does have some strong herding instincts with small dogs and cats, she is eager to please. She has been around people of all ages, and unfortunately came into rescue through no fault of her own, simply because of a family breakup ending in divorce.
House and crate trained, rides well in vehicles, loves to play, and is snooping around for her furever home!!
Fine Print: All dogs of NWMNAR are screened at the headquarters in Ada, Mn until they are vetted. They are then transferred to foster homes throughout MN and some into ND so they can get used to lifestyles with a family in a home. Adoption fee for an adult dog is $300 + Mn tax. Adoption fee for a dog over 3 years of age is $300 + Mn tax., pup/dog1 year to 3 years is $400 + Mn tax. Under 1 year of age $500 + Mn tax.

Because NWMNAR is not a public shelter, meet and greets do not take place until an application has been approved and a home visit has been completed in person or virtually. Meet and greets will take place in a public setting along with the adoption if compatible. Dogs can be met in Ada, MN weekday and weekends, or in our alternate office location in Maple Grove, MN on weekends only once an application is approved to adopt.
