Meet 8 year old Diego. This big beautiful blue merle teddy bear is sweet on people and loves to go for rides!! This guy was surrendered over to NWMNAR as he and another male dog did not see eye to eye. Diego never had a fenced yard and would appreciate the security of a fenced yard where he can run and play with his humans! Diego loves the snow and enjoys cooling off outside on cool days. He plays well with kids and has been around cats. Diego has a little separation anxiety and would prefer to be by your side. He is obedience trained, walks well on a leash, sleeps in the house, is house trained, will sleep on your bed or lay on the couch with you, rides well in vehicles, and will alert you if someone arrives at the door. If you can find it in your heart to give this guy a furever home, and show him the love he needs he will be forever grateful and would love to go for rides with you and ride shotgun for a DQ or McD's! Diego is available for adoption!

Fine Print: All dogs of NWMNAR are screened at the headquarters in Ada, Mn until they are vetted. They are then transferred to foster homes throughout MN and some into ND so they can get used to lifestyles with a family in a home. Adoption fee for an adult dog is $300 + Mn tax. Adoption fee for a dog over 3 years of age is $300 + Mn tax., pup/dog1 year to 3 years is $400 + Mn tax. Under 1 year of age $500 + Mn tax.

Because NWMNAR is not a public shelter, meet and greets do not take place until an application has been approved and a home visit has been completed in person or virtually. Meet and greets will take place in a public setting along with the adoption if compatible. Dogs can be met in Ada, MN weekday and weekends, or in our alternate office location in Maple Grove, MN on weekends only.
