Wait, is that the proper greeting for a British head of state? 💂‍♀️ Oh, who cares, this Winston Churchill isn’t at all a stickler for proper etiquette. Forget the org chart; he’s just here to be your buddy 😻.

Winston is a 15-year-old elder statesman, masquerading as an 11-pound Terrier mix. He is polite and dignified 🕊️ but he has cut loose and enjoyed playtime with his foster dog siblings 🤸. Carry on, Winnie!

He fits right in from the minute he walks in the door 😇🏠. He’s friendly and great with all people, including kids. He loves to be outside and meander around the yard or go for short walks 🌲. He’s terrific on the leash, and sometimes he decides whether to come when he’s called 😆. He’s good with other dogs, and he looks most comfortable with dogs that are on the smaller side. We haven’t seen him with a cat, but he seems like he’d do just fine.

At night, Winston curls up comfortably in a dog bed and visits the land of nod 😴. He is house-trained and crate-trained. He seems to have some days when his legs are a little stiff, so more than a couple of stairs can be an issue for him. He can do them when he’s feeling good, but otherwise he waits patiently to be picked up and carried up or down them.

If you fancy a handsome little doggo to grace your home with his easy-going presence, Winston is your guy 😊. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and current on heartworm/flea/tick preventatives. His adoption fee is $100. To meet him, you'll need to get approved to adopt and prepare to like him a lot! Meet-and-greets will be scheduled with approved adopters.
