Chip is the kind of dog who seems to wake up every morning ready to find something to be happy about. He has a wonderfully cheerful demeanor and is almost always ready with a wiggle, a bounce, and a whole lot of enthusiasm! Like many young dogs, Chip is still discovering some of the things that make life exciting, and we anticipate that he may be a little shy when meeting new people at first. As of 9/12, he hasn’t had the opportunity to meet any potential adopters yet, so we’re looking forward to seeing his personality continue to blossom as he gets more comfortable. We suspect that once he knows you’re a friend, you’ll get to see plenty of that bouncy, wiggly personality! Chip is an active boy who appreciates having positive outlets for his energy and, perhaps most importantly, quality time with his people. He loves being included and getting to spend time with someone who will make him feel safe, supported, and loved. Structure, routine, patience, and gentle guidance will help him continue building confidence and learning all the things a young dog should know. And then there are the stuffies. Chip LOVES them. Unfortunately for his stuffies, he also loves them with his entire heart—and they don’t tend to last very long in his care! But honestly, we’ll happily replace a few toys if it means getting to see this boy happy. Chip has also been friendly and excitable around other dogs. He enjoys their company and has shown us that he can be a happy, social guy when making new canine friends. We are happy to provide a dog meet and greet prior to adopting! Chip is still at the beginning of his journey, and we’re excited to see everything that comes out as he gains confidence and experiences more of the world. He’s sweet, playful, active, and full of joy, and we have a feeling that with the right person beside him, Chip is going to have a whole lot of wonderful adventures ahead.
