Over the Luna is ready to launch straight into a home where she can be completely, totally, over-the-Luna-in-love (ba dum tss!). She may be shaped like a little potato-brick-house, but she has a heart that could fill the whole moon(a). With her smushy face, soulful eyes, and wonderfully joyful spirit, this sweet soon-to-be senior girl is ready to orbit straight into her next great adventure!

Luna was surrendered when her previous owner’s health made it impossible to continue caring for her. And now she’s looking for a loving family who will show her just how wonderful this next chapter can be, more than ready to return the favor with companionship, cuddles, comic relief, and an impressive commitment to couch-potato duties.

Luna is a social butterfly in a very low-to-the-ground package. She loves being near her people, happily hanging out beside you, or settling in to do her own thing. She enjoys leisurely walks, playing with her toys when inspiration strikes (squeaky toys are particularly worthy of her attention), and spending time with just about anyone. She has previously lived with children, other dogs (including Ken Doll, who is also looking for a foster & adopter; https://phillypaws.org/adopt/dogs/#sl_embed&page=shelterluv_wrap_1773934980%2Fembed%2Fanimal%2FPHLP-A-182346), and could be a fantastic fit for many different kinds of loving homes.

Luna is officially entering her golden-girl era, which means she has perfected the fine art of enjoying life without unnecessary rushing. Her ideal day might include a little stroll, a little playtime, a little exploring, a lot of hanging out, and an absolutely appropriate amount of couch time. She does have a few wellness goals for this next chapter. Luna will need some extra TLC for her skin while working toward a healthier weight, and her family will need to help her stay active while keeping a close eye on her overall health. She’ll also need to be spayed once medically cleared, followed by some well-earned rest and recovery. Her future family should be comfortable following her treatment plan and helping her stay on track toward feeling her very best.

Most of all, Luna needs someone who will look into those soulful eyes and realize that this little low-riding lovebug has so much more joy, affection, and companionship left to give. She may have been around the block, but Over the Luna is ready to fly straight to the moon-a in love with her forever family!

This dog is considered a mixed breed because it’s not accurate to identify breed mix by sight alone, so for most dogs, their mix is only a guess. We get to know each dog as an individual and strive to make matches based on personality, not on breed label.
