Meet Momma At 12 years old, sweet Momma is new to our care, and we're giving her the time she needs to settle in before making assumptions about her personality, preferences, and ideal home. Dachshunds are often affectionate, clever, curious, confident, and devoted to their people. Despite their small size, they can have big personalities and a strong sense of independence. They often enjoy companionship and cozying up with their people, while still retaining the spirited personality that makes the breed so special. At 12 years old, she is a senior dog, and her needs may be different from those of a younger Dachshund. We'll continue getting to know her activity level, comfort with handling, and daily routines as she settles in.
