Meet ellie
Ellie is a sweet, incredibly smart 7yo, 60lb German Shepherd mix who has been part of my family for six years. Her story began in Arkansas, where she was found frightened in a live trap and at risk of being euthanized. She was extremely fearful when rescued, but after years of training, patience, and love, she has grown into an affectionate, playful, well-trained companion with a huge personality.
Ellie loves learning, knows many commands, and even communicates using buttons to tell you what she wants!
She is still a sensitive soul and can be frightened by loud, unpredictable noises. She spent most of her life thriving in a quiet suburban home, but after moving to Boston, it became clear that city life is stressful for her.
I’m looking for a loving home in a quieter suburban or rural setting. Ideally, I’d love an open adoption where we can stay in touch, and I’d be happy to remain part of Ellie’s support system, including helping with dog-sitting when needed.
