Hi, I’m Izzy! I’ve been through a lot, but I’m learning that life can be pretty wonderful when you have people who love you.I came from a really tough situation, and when I first arrived, I was scared and unsure of people. I still need a little patience and understanding, but after a month in foster, I’ve made SO much progress! I’m learning to trust, and once I know you’re my person, get ready for ALL the love. Cuddles with my people are my absolute favorite thing in the whole world. I’ll even hold your hand while you pet me or give you a little paw tap when I want your attention. Basically, I’m a big-time lover looking for my new pack!I’m a smart girl, too. I’m learning my household manners and have made great progress with leash walking. I do best with structure, consistency, and a routine, and I’m always excited to learn new things. I love sniffing on walks, chasing squirrels, and solving nose puzzles. I’m SO good at those! Give me a squeaky ball and I’ll try to catch it with my front paws like a little T-rex. And after I’ve done my business outside, I might celebrate with some serious zoomies!I’m mostly house-trained and continuing to improve. I’ve never had a poop accident inside, and I’m getting better and better at letting my foster family know when I need to go potty. I can get distracted outside, so it helps when my people remind me to “go pee” and guide me to my favorite spots.I also get nervous when I’m separated from my people, but I’m learning that I can be okay on my own. With some fun nose puzzles to keep me busy, I’ve successfully stayed home alone for several hours and done a great job!Other dogs can be great friends for me, too, and I enjoy having a furry companion around. What I really want, though, is a person or family who will make me part of their pack. I’m looking for someone who understands that I may need continued patience and training, but who will also see what my foster family already knows: I’m an incredibly devoted, affectionate girl with SO much love to give.I’ve come a long way, and I’m ready to keep growing with someone who will love me through every step.Could you be my forever pack?
