Meet stacie
Stacie is a twelve-year-old (according to the shelter, but she seems younger), 78-pound Lab mix that was surrendered to a shelter. The foster who has her went to the shelter to get another small-breed senior for the weekend, and when that dog wasn't available, they brought Stacie out as an option. As a small-dog person, the foster wasn't sure how she would work in their house with their small dog, but she felt sorry for Stacie and agreed to take her. Turns out that Stacie was great in the house and worked well with all of her animals, including her chickens (and baby chicks). When it was time to return her to the shelter, she couldn't do it and called us to help, asking if we would agree to foster. Let's say Stacie was in the right place at the right time, and she seems like the perfect dog for almost anyone. She has a little arthritis that we are treating, but she gets around great, and we are working on dropping 10+ pounds, which should make a huge difference. Stacie is a dream dog and had a lot of love left to give to some lucky person. If you would like to foster to adopt Stacie, please submit an application.
