Meet Apollo — A Goofy Cattle Dog with a Big Personality! Apollo is a funny, goofy Cattle Dog mix with a personality that`s impossible not to love! Originally arriving at our shelter in 2018 through a transfer partner, Apollo was adopted and spent years in the same loving home. He recently returned after his family welcomed a baby and needed to move, but unfortunately couldn`t find dog-friendly housing. Apollo briefly lived with a child, although he was not directly introduced because the baby was very young. His previous owner loved his playful personality and all the fun he brought to their home. Apollo is definitely a character—and apparently, he has never met a meal he didn`t think deserved a second serving! His love of food has caught up with him, so he`ll need some help shedding a few pounds and getting back to a healthier weight.Apollo has not lived with cats or dogs in his previous home. He can be very vocal when meeting dogs while on leash, but his previous owner reported that he has successfully played with other dogs in the past. Because his history with dogs is more nuanced, any introductions should be slow, thoughtful, and based on how everyone responds. Apollo is looking for a family who will appreciate his goofy charm while helping him with his manners, healthy weight, and continued social skills. If you`re looking for a fun-loving companion with plenty of personality—and perhaps a very persuasive food-begging routine—Apollo may be your guy!
