At just 2 months old, Arlo was being given away for free in a parking lot under 6 weeks old.
A woman saw what was happening and, although she didn't want or need a puppy, she couldn't leave him there without knowing where he might end up. So she took him home simply to keep him safe and reached out to Animal Angels Network for help.
She made sure Arlo was safe. Now we're going to make sure he ends up exactly where he belongs.
Arlo is a Cattle Dog mix, possibly with some Australian Shepherd, and his working-dog genes are already working overtime. He's smart, confident, energetic, vocal, persistent and has absolutely no problem telling you what he thinks.
He's been exposed to dogs, cats, chickens, cows and horses and confidently approaches them all. But if something runs?
🚨 ARLO IS ON THE JOB. 🚨
He'll chase, herd and nip, which means this little guy needs a home that understands working breeds and can give him the training, structure, exercise and mental stimulation he needs.
Arlo would do best with:
🐾 An active family or person
🐾 Herding/working-breed experience or someone committed to learning
🐾 Plenty of training, enrichment and adventure
🐾 He is great with animal friends and other dogs
*Animal Angels Network prefers no young children under 5 when fostering young puppies.
Arlo has received two DHPPL vaccines and is current for his age. His remaining vaccines, rabies, microchip and neuter will be completed through our rescue.
Someone stepped up for Arlo when he needed it most.
Now we need someone to finish his story.
