🐾 FROM BOTTLE BABY TO BIG BABY… MEET RUSSO! 🐾
Current location: Springfield, MO
Russo’s story started when his mama was dumped on a property, where she later had her babies. Unfortunately, a change in Russo’s health meant he had to be separated from her while he was still nursing. An amazing angel who specializes in bottle feeding stepped in and helped him grow.
Well… he definitely doesn’t need a bottle anymore! What does he need, you ask? A HOME!!
Now 6 months old, Russo is a sweet, loving boy who doesn’t quite understand his own size. In his mind, he’s still the baby, and everybody is there to be loved on. His foster family’s kids have been calling him “Rubble,” so this boy even comes with a Paw Patrol nickname!
A little about Russo:
🐾 Gets along with other dogs.
🐾 Does well with adult cats, ducks, geese, and chickens.
🐾 Kittens are a little too exciting—he hasn’t figured out that they aren’t toys, so he needs a home without kittens.
🐾 Good with older kids! His enthusiastic affection can be too much for little ones.
🐾 Does well with crate training when he has a consistent routine.
🐾 Still learning leash skills and puppy manners.
His foster lovingly describes him as a “bottle baby brat.” She handled the bottles beautifully, but admits that being firm with that sweet face hasn’t been her specialty! Russo will need a family ready to give him patient, consistent training as he grows.
He also has a kink in his tail and a serious love of muddy puddles. Clean water? Available. Dirty puddle? Apparently irresistible. He needs supervision around puddles because he’ll play AND drink more than his stomach can handle. Puppy decision-making at its finest!
Russo has had someone help him through his tiniest, most vulnerable days. Now he needs someone to help him through his puppy days, and love him for all the days after that.
