Meet nelly
Who can resist this sweet face? Nelly is a sweet Lemon Beagle who was picked up with Mary and Laura, two other Beagles who were found wandering around in rural countryside. They wandered upon the wrong person’s house and he said he was going to shoot them if they kept coming around. Obviously, our sister rescue, LAMA, couldn’t let that happen, so the volunteers went to go pick them up. Nelly is in a foster home right now, and her foster mom says she's excellent with other dogs and takes a lot of confidence from having a canine friend. She's gentle and kind, good in the car, and walks well on leash. She is still learning that the world is safe, so she takes a little time to warm up to new people, but she is a wonderful dog who wants to connect and who will blossom in a calm, patient home.
