Meet mikki heartstring
Four big brown eyes, two wagging tails, and guaranteed kisses from both directions. That is life with Mikki and Mallory. These petite husky sisters are an adoring duo who want to be close to their people, close to each other, and preferably somewhere within smooching distance. Mikki tends to arrive first with a little more confidence, while Mallory hangs just behind her until she knows there is plenty of love to go around. Give her the invitation, though, and sister number two is coming in for her share.
Go watch Mikki and Mallory on YouTube, then come right back to read more. Seeing these two together tells the story better than we ever could: the way they look to one another, relax beside each other, and then turn those big brown eyes toward their people asking for just a little more love.

Mikki and Mallory have lived together their entire lives. They were kenneled together, ate together, came into rescue together, and through every change around them, they have had the constant reassurance of each other. They are a truly bonded pair, and we see very clearly that each girl is the happiest, most confident version of herself when her sister is nearby. Their forever home needs to have room for both.
At around a year old and roughly 40 pounds, these girls give you all that gorgeous husky charm in surprisingly compact packages. Their exact breed and age are rescue estimates and cannot be guaranteed, but "petite husky sisters" certainly suits them. They are currently fostered in a loving home with other dogs, are house trained, great in their crates and have been building nice basic leash skills. They enjoy toys, take treats gently and ride well in the car, although those smaller frames appreciate a little boost when it's time to load up.
Meet Mikki
Mikki is the more confident half of this sister act. She tends to be more comfortable stepping forward to meet someone new, and once introductions are made, she is all sweetness. She loves affection, snuggles and kisses and seems to carry just enough extra confidence for Mallory to borrow whenever she needs it.
Meet Mallory
Mallory is the gentler wallflower of the two. She is incredibly sweet and affectionate, but if there is any question about whether there is enough attention to go around, she will let Mikki have the first turn. Don't mistake that politeness for independence, though. Mallory wants the love too. Invite her in and you'll quickly discover another cuddly, kiss-giving , hug-sharing girl who simply needs to know there is a spot waiting for her.
Together, they have a really lovely balance. They enjoy other dogs and have experience in playgroups, with Mallory showing that she can appropriately tell another dog when they are being too pushy without taking the correction too far. Initially they can be described as shy but always very sweet with people and even that shyness melts away in no time. Seeing how affectionate and connected they are makes it especially clear how much security they draw from being together.
They have also spent time with children as young as seven and were wonderful with them! The bigger consideration isn't whether these girls like kids, they adore them, tt's whether your family enjoys dogs who believe personal space is wildly overrated. Mikki and Mallory want to give kisses, lean into you, snuggle and be involved. Kids hoping for furry best friends will likely adore that. Kids who prefer a dog to keep a polite distance may find themselves hilariously outnumbered.
One important piece of their forever-home puzzle- Mikki and Mallory need a home without cats or chickens. They decided one day that chase was a fun hobby to share as sisters and well- both cats and chickens hate being involved in their “game.”
There is something special about what comes already built into this starter kit- Mikki and Mallory aren't waiting for their lives to begin separately. They've been doing this together from the start. They already have their best friend. Now they just need their people- the ones that see and adore their hearts.
