Meet CJ! CJ is a handsome 43-pound Lab mix who is estimated to be around 7 yrs old. This gentle boy arrived at our shelter with his brother, Frankie, after their beloved owner passed away. Their owner`s landlord lovingly cared for both dogs until they could be safely surrendered to our shelter.CJ has been an absolute sweetheart since arriving. While he`s excited to get outside and enjoy some fresh air, he`s the calmer of the two brothers and has a gentle, easygoing personality that makes him a joy to be around. With his medium energy level, CJ enjoys spending time outdoors, taking leisurely walks, and would be perfectly content lounging in a sunny spot. In fact, his dream home would include a fenced yard where he can safely explore, stretch out, and soak up the sunshine.CJ walks nicely on a leash, making him an excellent companion for neighborhood strolls or peaceful walks through the park. He has been a polite and sweet shelter guest, winning over everyone he meets with his kind nature.CJ is reported to be dog-friendly. As always, if you have a resident canine, a meet-and-greet is required to ensure everyone is a perfect match. He has not been exposed to cats, and his compatibility with children is currently unknown.CJ is available through our Foster-to-Adopt Program, which means you can welcome him home now while he finishes his veterinary care with the shelter.
