Hi, I’m Charly!

I’m a super friendly, gentle, and easygoing guy who loves being around my people. I’m a relaxed sort of fellow who would much rather lounge in a comfy dog bed than spend all day running around. I’m happiest when I’m included in whatever my family is doing, whether that means hanging out nearby or snoozing in my favorite spot.

I already know some basic commands and I’m a great walker on a leash. I’m also mostly potty trained, although I may have an occasional accident while I’m learning a new routine. I’m not a fan of being in a crate, so I’d much rather be trusted to relax comfortably in the home.

I can be a little vocal when my people first leave the house. I previously lived with my elderly dad, who was home much of the time, so being alone for long periods is something I’m still getting used to. Because of that, I’d do best with a family who is home more often than not.

I’m gentle and sweet with everyone I meet, and I think I’d do well with older, respectful kids. I haven’t met cats yet, but my foster family suspects I may do well with them.

I’m an older gentleman, so I need a little help with stairs, but that doesn’t stop me from being a happy boy who loves life and loves being part of a family. I’m sweet, easy, affectionate, and ready to find my new family!

Adopting a senior dog is like getting a vintage car – it comes with character, a few extra quirks, and might need a bit more maintenance.
