Meet louey
Louey is an 8yo Lab/Pit mix we rescued 7.5 yrs ago. He is playful goofy energetic great with kids and loves most people & dogs. He knows LOTS of tricks loves belly/ear scratches fetch & being chased!He walks well with his Gentle Leader but may lunge at bikers loud vehicles puppies or other triggers.Louey is protective & territorial so guests need careful outdoor introductions. His biggest challenge is fear/reactivity toward puppies & submissive dogs. He gets along with most dogs but ALL new dogs must be treated as potential triggers until safely introduced. He recently escaped our yard & bit a neighbor's dog. The dog needed one stitch & recovered.He needs a secure fenced yard to play and a safe retreat room for storms/fireworks or when overwhelmed. & at least one 20min walk daily. His reactivity must be taken seriously but with patience & the right environment he is very manageable & a joy to have at home.Louey deserves a fresh start and we want to help make his transition go smoothly
