Meet rookie (marsh)

Meet Rookie (Marsh), a 3.5 year old, 52-pound lab mix who all about love, cuddles, silliness, and pure joy. This goofy guy doesn’t have a mean bone in his broad beefy body. Quite the opposite, he’s the embodiment of sweetness and warmth.

Housebroken, crate-trained, and extremely obedient, Rookie responds to a host of words and phrases, including sit, come, stay, bed, go to your place, and couch. His passion for treats makes him an attentive student, and his willingness to learn is impressive. Rookie is SUCH a good boy, that’s for sure!

Rookie adores all humans, including children, and all dogs, both big and small. He shares his possessions with ease and plays nicely with other pups. However, when it comes to toys, watch out. He’s been known to destroy anything too soft or plushy. Only hardy bones, strong ropes, or thick rubber for this lively fella! :-)

A big fan of the outdoors, Rookie enjoys going for walks and getting fresh air. The great thing about Rookie is, if you want a hiking buddy, he’s all in. But if you wanna chill inside on a rainy day, he’ll be as cozy and snoozy as you’d like him to be. You set the tone and Rookie will follow your lead. How perfect is that?

If Rookie has any quirks at all, it’s when Rookie meets someone new, whether human or canine, he is immediately over-the-top friendly. Tail wagging, wanting to say hello, waiting for a pet on the head or hoping for an invitation play. Rookie believes slow introductions are a waste of time, and he’s probably right about that! His uninhibited attitude is actually very cute and quite endearing. He wears his heart on his sleeve…or his paw in this case!

Rookie is the true definition of a young, fun, smart, good-natured family dog whose only request in life is finding a forever family who will love him as much as he will love them in return. Not such a tall order!
