Meet Adoptable Mr. Spiffy! It’s hard to believe this handsome boy has only been in rescue for one month, as the transformation he’s already made is amazing!  When Spiffy came into our care, he was only 5 months old and weighed just 8 pounds. He arrived with painful urine scalds, significant hair loss, dehydrated, and emaciated. Over the past month, our dedicated volunteers have poured their hearts into helping Spiffy heal. With advice from our vet, Spiffy was placed on a carefully monitored refeeding plan, antibiotics, medicated baths, and lots of TLC. Spiffy is now 6 months old and is tipping the scales at around 20 pounds! Spiffy is vaccinated, microchipped, and now that he’s reached a healthy weight, his neuter appointment is scheduled in late August is paid for by the rescue. Spiffy is everything you could want in a puppy! He is playful, affectionate, goofy, and always ready to cuddle. He rides wonderfully in the car and would happily be your little co-pilot. He’s making great progress with potty training and crate training-especially since just one month ago, he had never known consistency, routine, nor having his basic needs met. Like any puppy, he’s still learning. Slippers and hands look like chew toys, potty accidents happen, and he may whine for a couple of minutes when settling into his crate. These are all normal puppy behaviors, and with patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement, he’s already proving just how eager he is to learn. We’re looking for a family who understands that rescuing a puppy means embracing both the work and the reward! Someone who will continue building his confidence, celebrates his new learning, and loves him for the amazingly sweet boy he is.  Mr. Spiffy has overcome more in his first six months than any puppy ever should, and it’s time for him to find the home he deserves! He is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, on monthly preventatives, dewormed and will be neutered/paid for my the rescue late August, with an adoption fee of $450.
