Once chained with a heavy chain at a homeless encampment, Margarito is finally getting the chance he deserves. His past was difficult, but he hasn't let it take away his loving spirit.
When Margarito feels safe and secure, he is a happy, goofy boy who loves walks, toys, and spending time with his people. Every day his personality shines a little brighter as he learns what it means to be loved.
Margarito is looking for someone who understands that trust takes time. He'll need a patient adopter who will let him settle in at his own pace and continue showing him that the world can be a kind place.
🏡 Ideal Home: • Patient and committed adopter
• Preferably the only dog while he continues to decompress
• If there is another dog, introductions must be slow, structured, and managed by someone who is committed to helping him succeed
• A secure yard is a plus
• Someone willing to continue his leash training and build his confidence
