My Story
I was found as a stray on the streets of East LA—emaciated, starving, and covered in hundreds of ticks. Thanks to a kind woman who stopped to help, I was brought into rescue and placed in a foster home where my healing journey could begin.

Getting me healthy was no small feat. I was severely malnourished, anemic, had bladder stones, and contracted Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever (Rickettsia) from the ticks. With proper medication, surgery, a special diet, and lots of TLC, I’ve overcome it all—and I’m happy to say I’m now in good health and feeling great.

My Personality & Home Life
For the past six months, I’ve lived peacefully with my foster’s resident dog—an intact male pit bull. We’ve become great buddies (though my foster mom says we can get a little rowdy sometimes!). I’ve also been around other dogs and do best with calm, controlled introductions rather than meeting every dog out on the street.

I can happily coexist with another dog, but I’d also thrive as an only dog where I can soak up all the love. Because of my enthusiastic and physical play style, a home without small children would be best for me.

Important Notes About Me
• I love chewables like bones, collagen chews, and beef cheek rolls
• I can be protective of high-value chews around other animals, so it’s best I enjoy them separately—in another room or in my crate
• I’m crate trained and know some basic commands

I’m a resilient, loving boy who’s been through a lot and come out the other side ready to give my whole heart. I’m looking for my forever person or family—someone to love me as much as I’ll love them. 💛
