Dakota is fostered in Fort Atkinson.

Dakota is an adorable dog estimated to be about three years old and weighs 12 pounds. She has a cute curly tail and long body. She’s a great girl who is a little social butterfly and super sweet. She’s very smart and loves all the other dogs. If they don’t want to play? That’s okay! She also will entertain herself with toys. She’s very affectionate, loves your lap and running through the yard. She’s great on leash, is kenneled trained, doing great with a potty routine!

Dakota lives with two children ages 6 and 8 and absolutely adores them!

Dakota has meet cats and was nervous! She barks a bit when she is unsettled, but did not display any aggressive reaction and retreated from them. She has not lived with cats, but could do well with slow introductions so she knows she is safe!

Our rescue adopts to Wisconsin and Illinois. Our requirements for Illinois applications are: excellent vet history, no children under 7 in the home, and an owned home. Wisconsin does not have these requirements, though we will not consider applications where pets are missing core veterinary care.

Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit, and once
approved a meet and greet with the dog. Adoption fee is $250.
