Meet Minerva, a 3-year-old white husky mix! She came to us from Chicago Animal Care and Control, where she stood out with her striking beauty and her regal bearing amid a sea of chaos.

She then spent a short time at Heartland Animal Shelter, which she saw as a minor inconvenience before moving into the luxury accommodations she was clearly born for.

She has spent the last few weeks in an experienced foster home with another dog and two children aged 5 and 2. We asked her foster family to describe her, and they absolutely raved!

"Princess Minnie (short for Minerva), is what we call her, so that should tell you a lot! This all white beauty is a true goddess. She is gentle when taking treats and giving kisses. She loves a good snuggle buddy and to receive pets! She knows commands, is a great on the leash, and the only time you hear a sound out of her is if she’s playing with a ball.

Her way of “chasing a squirrel” is swiftly trotting across the yard like a prestigious unicorn making its way through the forest!

She is calm and absolutely stunning. A true dream dog."

Minerva doesn't pretend to be a perfectly polished princess. Sometimes she has big husky feelings. Sometimes she sings the song of her people because she needs a pedicure or a vaccination. Sometimes she gives the most performative side eyes because none of the 5 types of food on offer satisfied her cravings.

Minerva has done the "rags" part. She's paid her dues. She's officially accepting applications for the "riches" era, where "riches" means belly rubs, comfy beds, treats, adventures, and humans who laugh when she inevitably redecorates the house with "husky glitter" (IYKYK).
