Little Krysten made the trip to Heartland all the way from Alabama, following in the pawprints of her sister, Kristine, and her brother, Dave (who has already found his adoptive home!). Earlier this spring, we also welcomed their beautiful mama, Aurora, who stole everyone's heart and was adopted in no time.

Aurora and her puppies were rescued from an overcrowded rural Alabama shelter and brought to a loving foster home by a local rescue, where they grew up safe, healthy, and surrounded by kindness while they waited for their chance at adoptive families or a transport up north. Their foster mom couldn't say enough wonderful things about them. In her words, they were simply the nicest puppies—and she swore they inherited every bit of their mama's gentle, loving nature.

One thing they all agreed on? Life is better with a kiddie pool! These pups absolutely love water!

Just like human siblings, though, each puppy has developed their own unique personality. Dave was the social butterfly. Kristine arrived a little unsure of herself, but quickly blossomed into the confident, happy girl we always knew she could be. And then there's Krysten who started out as the most quiet and shy one. That lasted about two days!

Krysten was a fast bloomer. no doubt her confidence was helped by being reunited with her sister Kristine. They are best friends, and love to cuddle and romp, and of course, nap. Krysten is such a happy dog, and it has been a joy to watch her flourish and blossom as she has since we have had her. She is a very well-adjusted and smart pup.

Krysten’s adoption fee is $300. This animal is spayed, up to date on core vaccines, and Heartworm negative.
