Meet breezy

Meet Breezy! This knee-high petite, energetic girl is ready to trade her days as a stray in South Memphis for a life filled with adventures, playtime, and people to love.Breezy is a fun loving, affectionate girl who enjoys being on the go. Walks, hikes, runs, exploring, or a good play session. Don’t get her wrong though, as she also enjoys snuggling up for naps, movie nights, and bedtime. She will lay right next to you all night long. A moderately active family looking for a four legged adventure buddy could be a great match for her. (Some lazy days in are okay, too.)She’s also got some nice skills under her belt: Breezy is house trained, crate trained (not her favorite place to be though), walks well on leash without excessive pulling, and rides decently in the car. She is working on basic commands right now, is treat motivated, but sometimes easily distracted (squirrel!) No food or treat reactivity noted. Breezy loves other dogs and loves to play. She can get excited and vocal during play and sometimes gets a little carried away, so she’ll do best with confident dogs who are comfortable giving her appropriate corrections. She’s also still very much an energetic adolescent and can get mouthy when excited. She doesn’t bite, but she may gently put her teeth on people during play, so a home with kids 8+ who understand how to interact with a young, enthusiastic dog would be best. Her mouthiness has calmed down significantly since being in foster care, but may pop up from time to time based on the style of play. Breezy does have an extremely high prey drive, she will chase anything that runs from her, so a home without cats or pocket/exotic pets may be best. (She has met a cat and was initially scared of the cat, but when the cat scurried away she wanted to chase it.) Breezy is very smart, affectionate, playful, and full of potential. She’s looking for a family willing to give her plenty of exercise, continued guidance, and lots of opportunities to be part of the action. In return, she’ll happily be your enthusiastic sidekick for whatever adventure comes next and offer tons of snuggles. All known information about the animal is listed above.
