These two adorable, well-mannered ladies never imagined they’d be starting over… but after the heartbreaking loss of their owner, they now find themselves searching for a soft place to land for their golden years.Malachi is currently around 25 lbs, 10.5 years old, and successfully working on her weight loss journey. Despite the extra pounds, this girl loves a good walk around the neighborhood and is excited by nature. When she's not walking, she could nap for hours on a comfy couch or a soft bed. Orzo is currently around 20 lbs, 8.5 years old, and is an upbeat, medium energy dog who is always happy to go out for a walk, but, like her sister, enjoys a good nap. She is curious and sweet, and loves to roll around in the grass when she gets the chance.There is truly something special about senior dogs. They don’t ask for much—just a cozy spot, a gentle touch, and someone to love. In return, they bring a quiet kind of joy, gratitude, and companionship that’s hard to put into words. This pair has lived together for years and are pretty attached. After the loss of their owner, they're looking to continue living out their senior years together in a home. They are sweet, affectionate, and very loving dogs (who have made their fosters very happy), and they settle in easily.They're house-trained, crate-trained, and walk well on leashes. They're fine with other dogs and good with all people, including children. One of them has chased a foster cat, but they've also successfully lived with cats in the past, so we recommend a dog-savvy cat with a proper introduction.They both still have a lot of personality and life in them.
